My Top 5 Spots in Jacksonville
I love collaborating and lifting up other businesses, and so what better way to start blogging than to talk about some of my favorite local spots?
Chamblin’s Bookmine - I am an AVID reader (iykyk) and this is by far one of my favorite spots that I have found since moving to Jacksonville. Located off Roosevelt, located around the Murray Hill and Ortega neighborhoods, this is a huge (23,000 sq ft) warehouse filled to the brim with new and used books. I am a big fan of wandering the aisles and finding so many good books!
Spruce - A coffee and plant bar (my favorite combo!!) located in Murray Hill. They host a numerous amount of community events every month from collage-ing, book club, cooking and sewing classes, music and more! They have a fun selection of coffee, wine and beer. Its a very cute place, you should definitely check it out.
Sushi Bear - If you have ever stayed at my house, there’s a good chance that I have taken you here. The service has always been great, the sushi is great, and I love this spot.
Cultivate - One of my favorite places to buy eco-friendly items. Cultivate is located off Park st. They sell home goods, garden goods, and offer many workshops, and don’t forget to check out another favorite indie bookstore in the back Femme Fire Books.
Beauty Junkie - Obviously this list wouldn’t be complete without my favorite salon! Beauty Junkie, voted as Folio’s best hair salon in Jacksonville. Our transparent all-inclusive pricing, cashless transactions, and gratuity-free services redefine current industry standards. Beauty Junkie prioritizes a healthy environment by using low-tox color and non-tox products, as well as fostering community events. So I’d love to see you, come check us out!
I can guarantee you will not go wrong when checking out any of these places! If you’ve been to one of these spots, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you decide to check them out, don’t forget to let me know what you thought about them!
